A Woman In The Guard's Van

Does anyone remember how George Sabin, a guard, used to love a good joke? I remember once that the goods train he was on got stopped at Hillmorton because the Bobby at Rugby saw a woman waving to passengers waiting on the platform. Needless to say, it was George who had put a blonde wig on and a shawl over his shoulders. He was having a great time as he waved to people as his train trundled slowly on the up. Happy days! LOL
